First step: Choose WebSelf Simple
Whether it is your first time creating a website with WebSelf or not, click on Add a new website on the dashboard. You will then have the choice to create a site with our advanced builder (the regular option) or try our new, super simple tool. If you want to use WebSelf Simple, click on the second option.
Second step: Answer our questions
One of WebSelf Simple’s strengths is that the builder automatically generates some sections of your website. To achieve this, we need to ask you a few questions. First, we need to know which type of website you want to build. Do you wish to make a site for your business, your community, or a personal website?
Then, you must choose a field of activity from our list or enter a keyword. It will help you understand your needs regarding your project. Once done, give a name to your site. Do not worry; you can always change it later. Moreover, if it is a business that already exists, we will get your Google My Business file to use the displayed information.
Next, it is time to think about your website style. We found six themes to help you with this: elegant, energetic, funky, techno, modern, and soft. Which of these adjectives best describes the style you want for your new website? To answer this question, ask yourself who is your site and business target audience. If you do not know which one to take, please note that you can always try another theme later.
It is recommended that you have an idea of your needs before you start creating your website. Do you need to have a website with many pages or just one? One-page sites have the advantage of being considered modern and straightforward. You can also use them as landing pages for your marketing campaigns. Choose the option that meets your needs and let our simplified website builder create the structure of your new site. It will only take a few seconds.
Third step: Customize the design of your new website
Did you change your mind regarding the theme or choose another color palette? Customize the visual elements of your new website easily by clicking on the Design tab located left. You can try various themes, colors, typography, etc. You only need to click on one of our options to update your site automatically.
Fourth step: Customize the content of your new website
If you have linked your Google My Business profile, the website builder will seek information and images from it while creating your new website. If it was not done, it will add pictures related to your field of activity that you can change. Please note that you can access several section templates and color palettes if those generated do not please you.
Let us start with the top, with the website header. You can customize the menu, title, contact buttons, and social media badges. It is also possible to add a logo.
Let us now pass on the sections. First, there is the welcome section where you can add a title, text, or buttons. Second, there are various sections according to your needs; some are with texts, and others with images. It is also possible to add sections by clicking on the + located under each one of them, as well as duplicating them, changing the order, or deleting them with the options located right. Feel free to look at the different section templates since we have many.
Finally, at the bottom, you can add your logo, title, address, social media badges, legal notices, and privacy policies. Everything you need for the footer!
Fifth step: Think about the SEO
If you choose one of our premium offers, you will have access to our SEO module for your website. To access it, click on one of the pages and on its settings. You can customize the URL, the title tag, and the meta description. These are essential elements to ensure your website can be found in search engine results.
And when you are satisfied with the result, you only need to choose a domain name and publish everything online!
